Privacy Policy

CiteLLM is operated by Superdocs ("we"). This policy covers citellm.com, the CiteLLM service and the CiteLLM apps for Claude and ChatGPT.

What we collect

Your account details (name, email, company) when you sign up on citellm.com. Your sign-in identity (account ID, email, sign-in method) when you connect CiteLLM in Claude or ChatGPT. The PDFs you select, the claims and quotations your AI assistant sends, and the results. Usage counts and history, and which app you use, to apply your plan’s limits. On citellm.com, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits.

How we use it

Only to provide the service, keep it secure, apply your plan and contact you about your account. We never sell your data or use your documents to train AI models.

How long we keep it

PDFs and results are temporary and deleted 30 minutes after upload by default, or sooner if you ask your assistant to delete them. Account and usage records are kept while your account exists.

Self-hosted

If you run CiteLLM on your own infrastructure, your documents never leave it and we have no access to them.

Who sees it

Our service providers, only to run CiteLLM: Google (sign-in), Google Analytics (website visits), DigitalOcean (hosting) and Stripe (payments). Claude and ChatGPT are separate services with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Email citellm@superdocs.io to access, correct or delete your data. CiteLLM is not for anyone under 18.
