# CiteLLM

> CiteLLM ties every AI answer and every extracted value to the exact passage in the source PDF, highlighted on the page, so reviewers can check it in one click instead of re-reading the document.

Calculated values show the formula with every input highlighted, and "not in the document" is an answer rather than a guess. A highlight shows where a passage is, not that a conclusion is right; that judgment stays with the reviewer, who approves or flags each answer, and the evidence report records who decided what.

## Products

- **CiteLLM for ChatGPT & Claude**: attach a PDF in the chat you already use and ask. Each answer opens in a viewer at the right page with the passage highlighted, marked supported, calculated, contradicted or not in the document. Up to 20 PDFs and 100 answers in one review; export a highlighted PDF, only the highlighted pages, or an evidence report with reviewer sign-off. For analysts, lawyers and reviewers; teams can run it on a dedicated server or in their private cloud.
- **CiteLLM Ask**: ask questions across a library of thousands of contracts, filings, policies or RFPs and get answers with numbered citations that open the exact PDF page, a visible confidence level and a one-click audit report. Runs in the CiteLLM cloud or in your own infrastructure. For legal, finance and operations teams.
- **CiteLLM Extract**: structured extraction. Name the fields you need and it pulls them from every document, each value carrying its page, location, source passage and confidence score, with a side-by-side viewer to check any value against the page. API available. Runs in the CiteLLM cloud or self-hosted with Docker. For teams that turn documents into data, such as underwriting, accounts payable, claims and lease abstraction.

## CiteLLM for ChatGPT & Claude: getting started and plans

- Add CiteLLM from the ChatGPT or Claude directory, then attach a PDF and ask, for example, "Check these claims against the attached contract." Other MCP clients can connect `https://mcp.citellm.com/mcp`.
- In ChatGPT you can try it without signing in; signing in gives you your own allowance.
- **Free:** up to 1,000 PDF pages and 50 uploads a month (10 a day), PDFs up to 10 MB and 100 pages, 5 PDFs open at once.
- **Pro:** US$29 a month: up to 20,000 pages and 1,000 uploads a month, 20 PDFs open at once. Monthly, cancel anytime. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies.
- Limits reset at UTC midnight (daily) and on the first of the month (monthly). Ask the assistant "What's my CiteLLM allowance?" to see your usage and get the link to subscribe or manage billing. Payment happens on a secure checkout page in your browser, never in the chat.

## Data and security

- Your documents are not used to train AI models.
- Files are deleted after processing unless you choose to keep them.
- CiteLLM Check, Ask and Extract can run on a dedicated single-tenant server managed by Superdocs, or in a private cloud run by your team.
